Development stages

Serpmonn Messenger is built in stages — from prototype to public release. Below is the status without internal technical details.

1. 01Protocol prototype✓ Done
   • Reference messaging implementation
   • Validating the device-to-device model
2. 02Security core✓ Done
   • Identity and cryptographic keys
   • Message encryption and integrity checks
   • Local storage for history and contacts
3. 03Network layer✓ Done
   • Direct connections between devices
   • Bypassing network limits and fallback routes
   • Message delivery without a central chat server
4. 04Android app✓ Done
   • Sign-up, chats, contacts, QR exchange
   • Backups and profile restore
   • Desktop pairing via QR

   MVP client is built; test APKs are available on the messenger page.

5. 05Offline mode✓ Done
   • Nearby messaging over Bluetooth
   • Local network via Wi‑Fi Direct
6. 06Groups and stronger protection✓ Done
   • Group chats
   • Stronger protection for private chats (key rotation)
7. 07Field testing✓ Done
   • Testing on various Android devices and networks
   • Fixing issues from tester feedback

   Builds on the messenger page before the store launch.
